Does anybody know why I have to sign into the answerbank every time I use it , even though I've asked for my name and password to be remembered on my computer ? Does anyone else have this problem ?

I have to give my password each time but I know that is because two of us are using the same computer and have different passwords. I think, but can't confirm right now, that you are asked by Answer Bank if someone else uses the machine so that would explain why I have to use my own password each time I sign in.
My biggest problem is with spam or ads or whatever you want to call them. I am settled on the AB and suddenly this ad for something takes over the screen and I've lost connection with the AB and of course then have to sign in again. Does anyone else have that particular problem?

Try adding to your favourites when you are already logged in and that should take you straight in without logging on again - it works for me!
Or accessing it from an email you have been sent when you subscribe to a question or post one....
I have never had to log on since I started by doing one of the above. Good luck.

I'm not sure what you mean by having to sign in every time. When I mentioned the 'midnight sign-in' I meant that I had to give my username and my password. Do you mean username and password each time you want to access the AB site or just password?
Any other time when I go on the site I have to give my password. I presumed because two of us use the same computer, but that doesn't apply in your case.
I have the AB site in my favourites, but still have to give my password.
I'm going for lunch right now and when I sign on again, whenever that may be, I will have to give my password. Have never been able to access the AB site without signing in with password. Never bothered about it as thought it was a security measure.
But if you have to sing in with user name and password each time you want to enter I would query it with the site webmaster via the editor.
