smouse, I'm not really sure what you're looking for but you might like to consider:
bike race, boat race, back road, bush road

Portland Castle, Pevensey Castle ( both properties owned by English Heritage - I dare say there are other castles & churches beginning with P which would have signs)

thy are things like staff only, pick your own, station, public footpath etc
public signs and notices but not traffic signs
