Charlie Booker writes fort the Guardiian (Pressman)
Rupert BROOKE is your answer!

Thank you again Crofter - would never have thought of Brooke via the Guardian. Many thanks again Dixieanne.
Sorry about the typo - but it's Charlie BROOKER the Pressman. I worked backwards from a 6-lettered writer (BROOKE) whose surname could take an extra "R".

Thanks crofter - value your help as find cryptic puzzles take up so much of my time!! Dixieanne
If it's your hobby and you find it relaxing and/or rewarding then "Why not?"
Question Author
Thank you crofter - will look at my 'time wasting' hobby in a different light now!! Dixieanne
There are some really nice people on AB - and we're doing no harm to anyone. On the contrary, there's the social interaction together with the feeling of supporting others. You are also stimulating the brain cells.

Look out tomorrow for the Herculis Link Word Game - It's a bit like Blankety-Blank!

Remember that time spent on a hobby is done so because you WANT to do it , not because you HAVE to do it! It's personal chill-out time - that you have EARNED!
Question Author
Thanks again crofter - where can I find the Herculis Word Game - via Google? Agree with you re AB - enjoy searching through the questions and answers - certainly keeps the brain ticking over! Am trying to look at my hobby of quizzes etc as a must spare the time rather than can I spare the time?!!!!
Dixieanne, Click on the address below and it should take you straight to the posting! Read the preamble well - and the rules. Remember that you must not repeat exactly all FOUR guesses of anyone else - but you can repeat up to THREE of anyone's FOUR.
