Which son of Russian-Jewish parents recorded "How high is the moon" in 1946 and later signed for the Verve label? The only help I have is that he will have a Z in his name .

I kept coming up with Ella Fitzgerald too!
Stan Getz fills most of the criteria. It doesn`t actually say sing does it.

Yes, the quiz definitely says son and I kept coming up with Ella as well. Thanks for your efforts.
Try Stan Getz - he was of Russian-Jewish parents and he signed for Verve records.
Further information - the Decca All Stars recording was in New York City on 12 April 1946
Stan Getz recorded High How the Moon with the Decca All-Stars in New York City on 12 April 1946. Sorry I did not give the ful information at my first attempt.
