Which bird now the object of some superstition was reputedly left out of Noah's Ark but had to perch on the roof?

I reckon the Magpie by the supposition that it was only bird that refused to enter the Ark with Noah, preferring to perch on the roof and jabber over the drowning world. They are viewed with superstition as seen by the rhyme and the fact that people still say "Good Morning " to them !

the MAGPIE is the only bird i know of viewed with suspicion as in the old rhyme "one for sorrow, two for joy etc,"
