Placenames around Lincolnshire. starting from Claythorpe; 1)It's time for a ramble so head SW Acres of countryside, take a picnic and rest. 2) Move on South to historic remains you go Once a grand old building warded off any foe. ( I thought this was going to be Lincoln castle but the directions do not lead you there)
Snipe Dales Nature reserve is south west of Claythorpe. There is a picnic area there. Old Bolingbroke is south of Snipe Dales and has a ruined castle. Then there is Tattershall Castle which is further west. Hope this helps.
Thanks Tigra Girl. Could I ask another please!
Starting at Gunby Hall.
1)Head North for a quarter of a hour
To discover where they grind different types of flour.
2) Old planes overhead set off from this base
By travelling SW you'll soon be at this place.
1) 15 minutes north of Gunby is Alford where there is a working windmill.
2) SW of Alford is RAF Coningsby which the base for the Dambuster memorial flight.
Last one I hope!
Starting at Skegness
1)Winging our way going NNE
Fly up high when the tow is released.
2)Race NNW to watch the start
Make a bit of money if you are smart.
3)Run ESE at a different pace
Where model cars you can race.
I think I have the last one but want some one to confirm it, and how can you go NNE from Skegness?
1) I think this may be Strubby Airfield which I beleive is the home of the Lincolnshire Gliding Club
2) Market Rasen, which has a Race Course.
3) Could this be Cadwell Park? They have kart racing here although it is more known for motorbike racing.
What answer do you have?
