...... jan1956, I well remember " Venus in Blue Jeans" and still have an original 45rpm in record collection, but alas no turntable now on which to play them !!
Just wanted to say that artist's name was actually spelt Mark Wynter so you may need to amend your entry??
H N Y T A A A . Without wishing to set a precedent , and being unable , thankfully Master Crofter , to read your mind , I submit : CLING , SALT , OH DEAR , STALE .
rogerr I'm green because I tried to change my name to O-ice and got into a whole big mess and ended up with Ont-ice which I actually don't like.
As for being green. I suppose it's because I'm so 'naive.' :-)
(I think the editor changes it to black once you've proven your worth).
O-ice Thanks--I thought you had been banned, but couldn't believe it as you are always so nice. Why not have another go at O-ice-- it's such a COOL name?
jan1956 I would treat Wynter and Winter as equivalent under the "Spelling Rule". However, I would still tend not to choose the ex-singer "Mark Winter" since his reputation was rather UK-based and not likely to beknown abroad. -
many thanks crofter as you say he was uk based I was just trrying to find something different as I was so late today.
will go with my latter guess if that's ok with you
cheers
jan
crofter - may I just say that Mark Wynter is still a singer in musicals although he is just about to appear as an actor at Theatre Royal Windsor in an Agatha Christie. Sorry, I'll go back to bed now!!! :O)
