Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Stuck on 20d and 23a. Are they 'unbraid ' and 'bel' respectively??? If so, why? if not, what?

(I have looked through the last couple of days' queries and can't find the answers, Apologies if they have already been asked/answered.)

I think it was upbraid and bel. Can you remind us what the clues where?

20d is 'Find fault with climbing plait' and 23a is 'In disbelief there is not a lot of sound'

Yes definitely UPbraid
Climbing = up
plait = braid
find fault with =upbraid

bel is a unit of sound. You've probably heard of the smaller unit - the decibel.

I thought of 'bel' as nothing else seems to fit, but I believe a decibel is a tenth of a bel, so perhaps the clue should have read '...there IS a lot of sound?!'

POINCIANA the reason the clue for 23a reads as it does is because "bel" is contained in the word disbelief, and the phrase not a lot of sound indicates not a lot of deciBEL.
Hope I've not confused things!
