Can anyone help with these two please?

14a: Adamant, I dig frenziedly for the 1544 response on catholic reforms (11)
I have ?N?I?I?A???
It seems to be an anagram of "adamant+I+dig". Could it be "anti ...." ?

21a: Canons assembled with, for example, dean's time detailed (7)
I have C?A???R

Yes, yes, yes!! That's it!! I thought I'd tried all possible anagrams but I must have missed that one. Never heard of the word before, so thanks so much for your help.

Glad to help -- I wish I could tell you it is a word I'm familiar with and trips off my tongue easily ,but just a lucky strike on Google!
