Think they do tricks like that sometimes. I know I read on here once that the Monday crossword's first few clues reads out as a saying..I have never found them though..not bright enough I'm afraid!!

Hi Pauline - The 'Daily Pun' breaks all the rules of spelling and grammar but is good fun to wake up to!
eg Today : (1a) Missed, (4a) Hurry .......MYSTERY!
Yesterday: (1a) Riga, (4a) Mortice ....... RIGOR MORTIS!!
They get worse but always amusing. Monday's puzzle is generally harder than the rest of the week and solving the pun can often open up the top corners.
Try this one: Stoned fruit (6), Loud Noise (5)
First one to solve it wins a jelly bean. Regards, ☺ja
