There may be a cricketing position called ' deep fine leg'.

There are some nice clues in this crossword but also some strange numbering - 5d to me isn't (11) but should be (4,4,3) as it is deep fine leg. yr second query, yr e is wrong as it is buggins (bug - flaw upwards, bins = discards.

The paper version has 4 4 3 for 5d - maybe you have the ever dodgy online one?

Tks dzug tt explains something - the online also gives 13d as (9) when it is (6,3)

Well I don't do this crossword at all, which explains my strange answer. I was even thinking of OVERfunding for the cricket angle. It does help when you get the proper word split.
