what would happen if the answers say to other puzzles were just listed down like this?

yes this is an answerbank .... but, ....

can you find another posting where someone has posted all the answers together without someone asking for an answer?

there is nothing in the Rules which says you cant post all answers .....

may be some other AB Q&Pers have an opinion?

The point is it is called - Answerbank - So you anwser a question when it is asked not before it is asked.

I think lector is referring to a member last year who posted all the answers to a certain crossword. He/she did this a couple of times and was, (I presume) barred from Answerbank. The idea is to ask a question only as a last resort, not to give a whole lot of answers to questions that haven't been asked.

I wasnt referring to any member - I didnt know that 'posting of all answers' had been done before?

I didnt think there was an example, which is why I wrote my post above.

Perhaps, the guidance needs to be clearer for newbies?

I think you are a true angel for giving the answers to the puzzles, thank you very much. I don't think anyone would have mentioned it if you had put 'Don't look if you don't want to know the answers' in your title. I, for one, am always grateful for help with regard to puzzles and answers and I think it's a shame that other people should try to veto your right to post without hearing other people's opinions. I notice that nobody ever complains about links being given to puzzle answer pages such as donslot, marinas pages, etc...why should they bother about you giving answers within answerbank, which is your own domain? Thanks again

PS Yes, I believe your answers are all correct, after checking...I will swap answers if required and if it goes by Answerbank rules (I can't see why that should be any more outrageous than the game regarding the Saturday Telegraph and Herculis crossword clues, which clearly give the answers to the shaded solutions)

bardotagogo, You don't seem to understand that these postings are by way of advice. It is a fact that if at least three people complain about an question it can be removed and possible disbarment can follow. No-one wants to see this happen to a new member, I'm sure.

Because I am the only greenie here, therefore it seems that you are addressing remarks concerning newbies being removed from Answerbank to myself, and I was only trying to tell 'angelinlace' that I was appreciative of her imput. Personally I do not think I said anything too badly out of place but I apologise if it could be taken as so. Best wishes

I don't think you are being threatened bardotagogo. But what angelinlace has done in not in the true spirit of what answerbank is about. The incident that happen in the past, someone posted all the answers to a crossword and ended up being banned. That is all geo0939 was saying.

lector - angel is a very valuable friend on here, very helpful and we swap and check each others answers as you will see by the links, ok, she posts mosts of the answers but thats only because she wants to make sure she's right (don't we all ?) a lot of us on here value her straightforward way of checking and helping each other for certain puzzles.
bardotagogo is right, we give sites to help each other so whats the difference in angel helping us out? and us helping her out? angel is not a newbie, she has been sending her posts in way before the last one i put on the links, so please don't put her off coming on here,

angel - you just keep coming on here and ignore the bad moody ones !!

I'm with Lottie here ....I won on Real People a couple of times and was sarcastically asked by one member if I had gone "Down market " because I not only do the highbrow crosswords but the ones in the gossip mags as well.
If you don't do these crosswords you don't have to read the post do you ?
They are on the web for all to see anyway on Marinas and Dons sites .
Some of you are so snobby it's unbelievable .

so lector, jimjools,geo0939, what your saying is that you've never copied an answer from the above posts or even copied an answer from half the people on here that print the answers out then answer the questions and pretend they know the answers when all they've done is go on the answer page ?
so let angel do what she does without any hassle from you lot , it's not giving you any grief so please let angel, me and quite a few other AB'rs integrate with each other over certain puzzles without any put downs from you,

Lottie you are a star ....to be frank I have been bullied on here by a certain person (not just in Q&P but in other categories) and have had several very sarcastic remarks aimed at me and there is no need for it .
I seriously thought about ditching the whole caboodle in view of this. Because of this I now prefer to keep my own counsel and not join in on certain threads.I am not perfect by any stretch of the imagination and can also lose my rag at times but I enjoy doing the puzzles in what my husband calls the "Gossiping women's mags" as much as I enjoy a really good cryptic crossword.
When I win the BIg Relax ....I will take you out for a drink !!

angelinlace ..carry on love ...it's nice to compare answers.

Speaking for myself, this is the first time I have seen these sites and I wouldn't use them, since I don't do these crosswords.
I do 6 crosswords every weekend and my routine is to finish them all before turning on the computer. The reason I come on answerbank is to assist solvers where possible.
If you read my posts again I don't see how you can interpret them in any way as "put downs". They were simply intended as advice, as I remembered the member last year who printed all the answers to crosswords, and I assumed that was what lector was referring to.
PS - The accusation of snobby is hilarious to someone who spent most of his working life on building sites and still lives on a council estate. You will interpret my posts how you may but I can assure you they were written the best of intentions.

Everyones posts are written with the best intentions ..therefore
angelinlace's are written with the best intentions....to help others who do these particular crosswords .I am not referring to your posts .I am referring to a particular user who has several usernames and makes it his lifes mission to get up my nose .You have just said that you don't do these crosswords ..so why bother to comment. And.. it wasn't you who made the remark about me going down market. So don't worry about it .I am perfectly capable of holding my own .I know who it was and avoid them like the plague ...biggest creep walking !!
What I mean by snobby is the fact that because everyone does the highbrow crosswords they think it is beneath them to do things like Chat and Real People and make it clear by their sarky comments.
And ...by the way council estates have nothing to do with being snobby......if you knew my background you would cry .
