I have been unable to make contact for the past 40 minutes. I know how long as I was about to answer Middlemarch question on the site. Anyone else with the same problem? I kept getting "Page cannot be displayed.'
I knew of someone who tried to find the name of the seventh planet from the sun. He stayed up very late ploughing through his books and lost so much sleep it "wrecked 'im"! (two puns here with one implied)
Yes..it seems so...but I dare say we will get some response tomorrow!!!
Hope you are both well. Snow forecast to hit here overnight, but not like you get it I would imagine.
We're tired of it by now, Pauline, so will be glad to take off for sunnier climes on Friday. Snag. Mr. O. again feeling droopy with head cold. I don't know where he gets them, but he's like a magnet for any virus going around. I've made him a strong hot toddy which will either kill or cure - hopefully the latter.
Send him my kindest regards, and sincerely hope he is better very soon! What these poor men have to put up with eh?
Sore throat...tonsilitis
Cold...Influenza
Backache...Lumbago
Headache...Migraine....................
Tell Mr O...I've been sat here waiting for him to send me to bed...oh well, will go of my own accord now!!
Speak soon, have a nice time wherever you are going on Friday!
Come over to England!!! I'll put you both up!!!
Pauline. I just signed on to check my last mail before bedtime and saw your last message. Sorry to leave you 'hanging' earlier, but I was away tending to the invalid and then I decided to stay in the den and read my book. In answer to your question we're going to the Caribbean for a couple of weeks. Thanks for the offer of lodgings in the UK. Be careful, girl, you might have unexpected guests. :-)
Good night - or in your case good morning as it's now five past four UK time.
Tell Mr. O that the big yellow thing in the sky is called "THE SUN" and the white stuff on the ground is .... SAND!
No, not SNOW -it's SAND! You can take your snow shoes off! You won't sink in it.
We look forward to hearing from Mr & Mrs Ont-Sun on their return. Don't forget to get your predictions in whenever you can!
Thanks to you both for your good wishes. I do hope Mr. O realizes the difference between sand and snow otherwise there'd be a heck of a lot of shovelling involved.
Re the predictions, "Where there's a will there's a way."
Minus 28C this morning so we're looking forward to greeting Old Man Sol.
