Fight -Resist
p=quiet, Communist =red , a + tor (hill)

alien = ET with a inside. - eat

baffle = stump St = good man, u = University, MP = representative.
Pat backwards and No for number
Resist is rest and IS for islands
Don't worry about asking for help you won't annoy everyone. Asking for explanations was how I learned how to do cryptic crossword puzzles many years ago.

The second one may be an anagram of swell died hit, but haven't got it yet.
2. Extraordinary might mean anagram (letters arranged extraordinarily). The next 3 words have 12 letters.
Dame Edith Sitwell wrote books.

3. the others = the REST.about means these letters go round the outside. Island = is
Resist

next please
1 p=quiet. musical (Italian) abbreviations are often used.
p,pp (very quiet) f (loud) ff.

Repugnance caused by girls discrimination (8)

Container ship (6)

A painful illness i caught from animal (6)

Eastern plaything sent back to island (4) from what you said before if island is IS and 'sent back' means reversed so ive got SI....and then got stuck!! haha, not got very far.

Party on left is without heros (5)

Comedian Roy draws the french crowd (6)

Headgear gained success with out being on list of attractions (5,2)
Comedian Roy draws the French crowd - Huddle

The Hudd of Roy Hudd + le (French for the)
Eastern plaything sent back to island - Eyot

E for Eastern + yot (toy backwards), and eyot is another name for an island/islet

Container ship - Tanker?
Party on left is without heros - Idols

Is without suggests that the other letters are within, and the other letters are do(party) and l (left) - hence I do l s

Thank you everyone!! Great explainations, dont think ill ever be able to get them for myself though!! Will keep trying. Thanks again
It would help us if you numbered them
7. I've no idea at all
8. Maybe tanker, but not sure, this is where the letters from crossing clues come in handy
9. no idea
13. Headgear gained success with out being on list of attractions (5,2)
You can try that one. Look ffor a word that means "gained success" and put it outside ("with out") a word that means "headgear". It gives you a "list of attractions"
