To me, "very upset" indicates make an anagram of "very", not make an anagram of its synonym "most", so another complaint from me about this puzzle; Cavan (8a) as I wrote earlier is not "part of Northern Ireland".
08012006 'upset' is not suggesting an anagram, but suggesting the word is written (set) upwards in a 'down' clue.

Also: The Sunday Telegraph clues are always more convoluted than the weekday puzzles

Well I think I was being a bit thick! I accept both clues, Cavan is in northern Ireland surely?If you find these a bit iffy have you tried the Independent or Times?
Cavan is a county in the Republic of Ireland, certainly NOT in Northern Ireland, although it is one of the three Republic counties in the province of Ulster.
