there's a Tudor specialist called Geoffrey Elton and a comedian called Ben Elton (a bit tenuous though....)

Forget my last answer - David Starkey (tudor specialist) who does all the TV shows used to be a stand-up comedian. You will find confirmation if you search on Google (I'm sorry I don't know how to cut and paste - if that's what it's called!)
