Old Mother Riley was a music hall act which ran from about 1934 to 1954.

The part of the Irish washerwoman Old Mother Riley was played by Arthur Lucan
Arthur Lucan, who created the famous Irish washerwoman character 'Old Mother Riley', was born Arthur Towle on 16th September 1885 in the small village of Sibsey, near Boston, in Lincolnshire, England.
