I have been asked the following:

I have two coins in my hand that add up to 25p but one of the coins is NOT a 5p. What two coins do I have?

p.s. cutting a ten pence coin in half doesn't count as being 5p...

Please help....

You have a 5p and a 20p.

ONE of them is NOT a 5p - BUT THE OTHER ONE IS !
Two half-crowns, worth two shillings and sixpence each,
add up to five shillings or 25p in new money.
I think gen2 is probably right on this one
Get 2 pennies and apply enough gold plating to them
to increase their value to 25p.

Actually, this answer and my previous one are both
meant to be "thinking outside the box" type answers,
not to be taken too seriously ! Sorry, Goofy !

gen2 (fan of penguins?) obviously has the correct
answer.
