After Aquagility in one fell swoop took 4 points with 2 Hot Shots, all the rest scored either 1 or 2 points with matches with Olive Drab and/or Shock Wave[s]

The other two matches - Duck Mussel and Black Diamond eluded everyone - Kate's getting cunning, I think.

Good going - sarumite, Laney B, Arabesque, ShazzaHewat and patchett [welcome back, patchett] - all of whom scored 2 points and 26 entries scored 1 point.

Thanks pals - I may just do that Jan - That's after my visit to the dentist for an extraction. I am not looking forward to that. :-( Then maybe I can sit down quietly and do the weekend Xwords. I have been too busy this weekend to do any of them.

Duck Mussel was the killer link - almost impossible to detect!

And "NIL POINTS"! I shall be more sympathetic with those on MM in future faced with the same score week after week after week ... (I think NOT!)

pauline - what was the ad for - I can't think of anything that uses a 'black diamond' except for a ski run. We have a black diamond corner here in South Oz but didn't think it'd feature here somehow

It was a ring advertised with a black diamond in it...tried to hint to hubby but no luck!!!

they can be decidedly dense when it suits - mine said ' you don't like rubies, do you?' when our 40th wedding anniversary came up - silly sausage, I took him out, showed him a diamond band I'd found and told him 'that's what you're buying me !!' - I got it, too

Good for you! They should know ...especially after that length of time, that we ALWAYS have our own way! There is just an art in planting the idea, so they think it's theirs! Works everytime!!

I know I must have led a very sheltered life but I have never in my born heard the expression "olive drab". Will someone please tell me what it means and where it came from? And why is it considered that "drab" and "green" are the same word? One definition of "drab" would indicate the colours grey and brown. The other definition is of a woman who cannot be described as "green" by any stretch of the imagination! And as an olive-aholic I know exactly what colour olive green is!

And can someone please explain to me where in blue blazes did I get 3 points from?!!! :O)

Can I just say how much I enjoy this site and how much pleasure I get from reading all the friendly "banter" between you all. Being a relatively newcomer I wondered how long you have all been "together"
