a particle of mass m rests on a smooth plane which makes an angle B with the horizontal. It is supported by a force of magnitude P making an angle A+B with the horizontal. Determine P and the reaction of the plane on the particle.

1. P = m.g.sinB/sin(A+B) force units.
2. 0. The weight (I assume this to be vertically downward) is balanced by the vertical upward component of P, and as the block is smooth, with no friction, there can be no reaction horizontally.
Please ignore my misguided 1st attempt.
