I am stuck with three:
1a: the break between words within a metrical foot in greek and Latin verse (7)

2d: the study of ticks and mites (9) --a-ology

17d: the rate per second of a vibration constituting a sound, light or raidio wave. I thought it was kilohertz but that doesn't fit

Can someonoe help, please?
