Very many thanks for instant reply Jimjools. I have finished GK from Saturday's DT but have just one to do 18a. Having curly or woolly hair (4) I am pretty sure that should be 'afro' but I have 'acaulescent' for 7d. Having no stem or one that is very short. so 18a starts with 'c'. Please, what have I done wrong?

The clue for 18A has more than 4 letters. It has 11 and the answer is Ulotrichous.
You are correct with 12D but have gone astray on 11D if you are seeing 18A starting with a C.
I think you are looking for 19A which is Capo.

Many thanks Ont-ice. I knew I should have given up and gone to bed. I'd put the 'c' of capo over 19 making it look like 18!!! Not the first time I have done this! Again very many thanks for putting me right.
