If I thank people for answering my question do they get an alert or do they only see it if they refer back to the question? But whilst I am here I will thank the people who helped me so quickly. Also please can you tell me is Salieri an opera character?

I quite often subscribe to a question to which I have given an answer - jsut to check it is appreciated!
Otherwise it is possible t refer back to the question.
Not sure about Salieri - there was one who was a composer.

esmerelda you have probably noticed now that your question has been more fully explained on your previous posting.
When you thank people, they do not get an alert but it is probable that 95% of them would refer back to the question.
It is always good to know that the person asking the question is satisfied with the answer given, but there are a number of people unlike yourself who never bother to express their satisfaction or otherwise.

Salieri was a composer who lived at the same time as Mozart. He featured in the film Amadeus where he was implicated in the death of Mozart.
