KM Links Game April - week 1

A new month - a new game. While King wickedtongue and his entourage rest on their 'laurels' ??? and I seem to be singlehandedly taking on the marsupial race, this is an attempt to snare the Loony Lemmings before they all race off the cliff
I don't know about 'incarcerated in the tower', sounds more like 'padded cells & men in white coats' !!!
Really, the only thing that has changed is the month, everything else stays pretty much the same. When the flying samurai & the reluctant riser have sorted out who is going to post the link words for Saturday morning, then the fun will get underway.
Come Monday morning, more of the same, [though yours truly tends to come along and start pestering] and at some stage the second set will be posted and then we'll know what's what for another week.
What's the betting there's no Easter eggs in Kate's puzzle, but if a quick thinker hid them all round the shrubbery, several ABers might not be seen for a long time.
So Good Luck everyone and I will just mention in closing that, far from Roo Smashing, there is a charming custom here down under, called Pommie Bashing, which so far I have managed to avoid [being married to one helps] but crofter you're sailing a tad close to the wind !!!
OK let's get to it, all's fair in love, war & shrubbery !!

my dear friend JimJools emails the crossword to several of the far flung crowd and I'll be off to check on it's arrival when I've finished fighting in the shrubbery - then will settle down and enjoy !!
