I agree with you Pauline - particularly 3d, where I felt the setter couldn't count! (How do you get 'not half' of a 9 letter word?)

Sometimes Kettledrum, they are quite clever..especially the anagrams, but other times they seem really stupid!
By the way 3d is 8 letters isn't it?

A local mag ..only been going for about 4 months was delivered on Sunday...and I had won the crossword...cryptic!!! You answered a couple for me Kayakamina. �15 HMV voucher...was well pleased. Never won anything before..onwards and upwards!!
Made me feel really pleased with myself...until my youngest daughter...bright spark...said I was probably the only one who sent it in!!!! Kids eh???

Yes, I did see it Pauline. Congratulations! What with your success with the MM links, and your local newspaper, where is your 3rd win going to come from? The Week ? Your daughter is partly right: you obviously have much more chance of winning a prize from a mag with a small circulation.
