I guess I must be thick as no-one seems to have asked for help with these but any help for 21,22,30,31 and 32.
21- Wine producer is annoyed about resistance to the first Merlot. Troublsome! (6)
22-In place of pictures there's bitterness in the vessel (3,7)
30- Confront devastating result with flop that is shattering (7,4)
31- Dear Italian is at the forefront to get home (7)
32- Did these workers at their lowest strength become bone idle? (8,5)

21) Think of what originally produces the wine + r (from resistance) and m (first merlot) all this is an anagram,which is troublesome.

31) Look up Dear in Italian this is the first sylabull of the word that should be able to get then.

30) and 32) I have answers for but not too sure waiting for more clues.

22. Where would you find pictures?

30. Anagram 'result' with one letter from 'confront', and find a theatrical word for 'flop'.

31. The Italian word for 'dear' will lead you to the answer.

32. Think of something containing bones and another word for workers.

Naomi - re your clue to 30......these are beautifully crafted clues.....'c' is not just 'one letter' : it's Con - front (ie the front letter of con)

Thanks for your observation, Kettledrum. I know that, but I was trying to give a hint without giving the whole thing away. Don't want to spoil all the fun for jaywhybee.

Thanks. That's the problem - some want practically the whole answer and some just want a little hint, so I'm never quite sure how much of a clue to give. Giving too much away might spoil the quiz for others.
