Perhaps you can now do the cryptic pauline ... got time before the big game ??
Am looking at it as you speak!!! Got to go on an errand of mercy first, in about half an hour...then watch our heroes win!! I have put a bet on (never do normally!!) for them to win 4-1!!
Wow ... good luck with both !!
Explain, please! I can see only Snooker on TV.
Aquagility!!!!!............you're bestest girl in the shrubbery!!!...and you don't know???? You are kidding me!!!
You'll have to take me in hand, dear. I really thought all footballs were sort of egg-shaped!
Just in case you're not kidding, it is the Manchester football derby game, when Man U are going to tonk Man C and take the championship as Arsenal beat Chelsea!!!
A...there the ones that have been sat on!!...sorry for hijacking your thread barbs!...good luck with your crossword!

well I set off something there - knew MU fans would know the answer what I doing here its on now
On where?
perhaps all you scum fans know that AIG stands for Almost In Greece!
Aquagility, so sorry been out all afternoon and at aunts tonight. The match was on sky...good result, bad game.
Columbus...calling people scum isn't very nice!
Just seen this thread. A number of issues occur to me.

1. The inestimable quality of the cut and thrust of some of these crazy threads.
2, The way otherwise apparently sane (and quite lovable) people can become besotted with the spectacle of other people chasing a little round ball - why don't they pick it up and run with it?
3. The danger, in online chat, of giving offence without meaning to (I don't for a moment think that Columbus meant that the fans were scum, or even the team - I'm sure that he had his tongue firmly in his cheek). I have myself managed to give offence without the slightest intention - and I think the reason we need to be more careful is that there is no eye contact, hence the use of LOL and :o)

And now I really am going back to bed! LOL!
reading all the above, dare I mention that I'm a humble Derby County supporter (we are in the play off's for entry to the premier league) but them I'm MUCH TOO OLD
Agree with SOME of what you say A....but you can give offence inadvertently without thinking sometimes, but I think when you resort to selected words or phrases, you are less likely to be doing it accidentally.
I do apologise for the intrusion on your thread barbs. I just had to register my upset, and now it is done.

I hope you win the crossword prize barbs!!!
