Thanks K...I really struggle to think how the compiler does on this one! I have to try to be more lateral thinking!! Got bogged down on the in addition part of the clue to 26a and didn't see the whole of it.

Just a final thought Pauline. I wonder if you have Sleet for 23d like some others? I think that Floes (sounds like flows) is more likely especially as sleet is not melted snow.

Don't lose heart-the Sunday one is much more difficult than Saturday . Also did you see my feeble contribution to the 'soap star' questions? To each his own.
