Really stuck on this quiz so any help would be much appreciated thanks.

7.The remote Mr. has to be brought around.

It seems that clues 5 & 10 have the same answer - dynamite, unless someone can come up with an alternative answer to either one.

8. I can't remember....but 192 = 12 x 16. There are 16 ounces in a pound ( pre decimalisation ). What are there 12 of in an ounce?

kettledrum I can't see what you mean in your answer, what is the invention. :-)
Sorry to confuse Kitty.... I was thinking 'out loud' about no 8. Bad mistake ! I'd sort of hoped there'd be 12 (invention)s to the ounce! 'Twas not to be. Should learn to keep my mouth shut.
Nothing wrong with thinking out loud and no such thing as a bad mistake. Having ideas which might spark off other ideas is how puzzles are solved!
