Please, please give clues when you ask questions
13 Answers
This is an appeal to all those using the site. Could you please, please give the clues and not just the clue numbers. Lots of us enjoy helping with answers but don't buy every newspaper, magazine etc. going. Even more so for those of us not living in England. Often, when I get time to check the site (often infrequently), someone else has already answered. Imagine the frustration when no-one's answered but I don't know the question!

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.The ideal form of question, which is most likely to bring a quick and appropriate answer, is -
Put the publication and date in the heading
Then the clue number, the clue in full, the number of letters
Finally any letters you already have, with ??'s for the spaces.
Don't bother with 'thanks in advance' as the answerer will hope that you will call back, or award stars.

It's not a silly question Elderly. You are the first person I've ever given stars to! Actually I prefer to say something - but stars are a useful standby. When someone has answered your question you'll see on the bottom left hand side in orange "Rate this answer" and "report this answer". Rate this answer, when pressed, gives you a choice of numbers of stars to award. I've never pressed the alternative either - I hate to think what might happen, but guess it's a way of complaining.
