Has it been another week already? I hope we are in for a smoother ride than last week. Does anybody know what happened to take AB off line for so long?
Rumour has it that AB Editor answered THREE messages in quick succession, invoked the five-minute rule and was taken off automatically for being a suspected spammer! Unfortunately for us, no Editor means "no AB" until she's re-instated!
I teased kettledrum by telling her that SHE had caused it by scoring points and breaking a LONG sequence of zeros! [Just kidding!] However, she did ask an interesting question ~ namely to whom should she now pass the wooden spoon? Well, my records are kept to monitor successes not failures; but they clearly indicate that seekers of such information should know that a certain person has not scored a single point in the last NINE weeks. Cryptically, this person leads each Saturday through ever-more fabulous fantasies!
Last week was the time for the big hitters with Grenmus (in MM) and lysander (in KM) taking the honours. Whoever heads the MM League Table on Sunday evening will earn the right to set the MM link words throughout the month of June.
Sincere thanks to our current setter burgess (aka Alan) for some original Link Words which have demonstrated an inventive mind!
Look out for these games tomorrow morning starting about 7.30 am for KM and exactly 8.45am for MM. If you haven't yet joined in the crazy crowd then use tomorrow as a practice run, then all of JUNE to gain the points needed to set the words in JULY.
Newcomers are always welcome!
Me? I am just the scoremaster ~ crofter's the name and linking's the game!
The rest of this posting is for random raving, scandalous scheming and pernicious plotting!
Are you sure the sarnies are a good idea? I think you're supposed to eat them FIRST rather than after. By the way I let a great big octopus loose on the site earlier (the polvo) - it was supposed to be a trap for sarumite but I'm beginning to think it wasn't a wise move.
I love the guinea pig, but am getting worried now, is it a shrubbery or a menagerie - an octopus, a guinea pig, piles of sarnies and cakes, vino galore, whisky galore, pies and pints is there any space to lie down and have a sleep?
I don't mind eating the octopus - providing it's cooked properly - they're quite a delicacy out here - but I'm not too sure about the hedgehog. Are you sure the hedgehog is not Sarumite's latest cunning disguise. He does seem rather quiet.
Sorry about mix up earlier, I was just feeling lonely and wanted a chat, then had a call to go to my friend who drove me to Devon last week and ended up spending 6 days in Torbay hospital with a hernia from laying my daughters turf !!! He was my husbands best friend and has been great to me ,so when he had a problem tonight I had to go,so hence I've missed all the posh food and drink and people have also gone to bed. Pauline thanks for today and have a lovely restful holiday, you deserve it.By the way hello everyone !!!!
Jools ...you spoil him!!!
Samurite I have e-mailed you...will get in touch on my return!
Jools...can you imagine the pampering he will get if 'our day out' gets off the ground??!! He'll be mollycoddled!!!
Goodnight Christiana, I'm off myself now. I just need to find that sleeping-bag - I though it was under that shrub there, but I think someone has moved it. I hope Pauline didn't pack it. Night All xx
