Well this is my last week as setter and I face it with mixed feelings. We started with the Bard and "Darling Buds of May" and now I know what the Bard meant when he wrote "Good night. Parting is such sweet sorrow" (R & J). I shall miss the Shrubbery Squad (aka the Marmite Mob). However, "Congratulations" to Grenmus who came very close to my total wipe out. Will this lead be enough? In the past, it has always been someone in the following pack who nicks the honours!

If you don't already know, this is burgess (aka Alan) set to continue as King Linker for this last week in May. This weekend, I shall be visiting North Yorkshire using another's PC to launch the MM Links, so (truly) anything could happen! (Keep Fingers crossed)

Like most of you, I know how to predict better than how to work out the scores. Hence, like my predecessors, I have followed the same rule as crofter on word length. Each of my chosen link words contains at least four letters and at most eight letters. Stray outside this range and you will be wasting one of your attempts! On this very point, I thank FoxLee for her constant vigilance acting as the shepherdess with an eye on stray lambs wandering over the moors! ( A fox looking after lambs must be a first)

The competition will officially close on Sunday Evening at 7.00pm when crofter will declare my selected words and then apply the same rules for awarding points that have been applied during all MM Link Games in the past.

My last set of four words to have their links predicted "should" appear below at 9.00am and you are invited to predict the missing links. Remember: I don't do "obvious"
