Why do they always put a too early closing date when this appears and there's no hurry for the results? It's particularly irksome this time as it's a holiday weekend with limited post. I have complained before & whilst they no longer put the quiz & prize sudoku back to back they still insist on a ridiculous cd.
Yes, it gets me too. I belong to the Telegraph Crossword society in order to get the Sat. and Sunday prize cryptics on-line, as I live in in Portugal. As you can imagine it's even more important, living here, to have a bit of leeway when holidays come along, but it never happens.
Couldn't agree more! You always end up having to use a first class stamp for all the comps, but nobody benefits except the Post Office. I have complained too, and tried to irritate them by pointing out that the Times gives you at least a week to get the answers in. Anyone know how to e-mail the DT Crossword? - my attempts have all bounced back.
Wagtail has made me realise I spend 100 pa sending the weekend's puzzles!
