and 27 and 31 clue is See 1 across

hi shaley, i'm still stuck on that one to,

k) the clue to 1 across is - first two gardeners, 4,3,3, (adam and eve) is the answer i've got,

27 & 21 across - clue - see 1 across, 5,5 -
i've got the same letters as shaley, and as i said on the post above is it "first names" or " first mates" ?
would be grateful if you could help k,.

I would say it has to be First Mates !

They were after all THE 'first mates'.
