Chambers Dictionary definition of "Cheat"
"cheat verb (cheated, cheating) 1 to trick, deceive or swindle. 2 (usually cheat someone of or out of something) to deprive them of it by deceit or trickery. 3 intrans to act dishonestly so as to gain an advantage cheat at cards. 4 to escape (something unpleasant) by luck or skill cheat death. noun 1 someone who cheats. 2 a dishonest trick. cheater noun.
ETYMOLOGY: 14c: shortened from escheat."
Unless the compiler of a quiz asks entrants to declare they have not used this or any other internet site to obtain answers, how can the entrant be accused of trickery, deceit or dishonesty?

I beg to differ with you there bthbn, I have had the thrill of winning The telegraph prize crossword and I did it all on my own. I have ask about 50 questions on here and answered over 5000. I don't mind helping others. What I don't understand is what you are doing on here If you think it is a cheats site. If you don't want to ask questions (as that would be cheating) and you obviously don't intend to help anyone wouldn't be better off on some other site.

Yes, she does have a point but it was that 100 she was counting on to win the Group Therapy that is niggling her.(She really really wanted to win, there she was every time a question was asked for that quiz)
As I have said before, I think she uses three names at least.
Who pulled her chain this time anyway?
btbbn, you evidently do not use the site very much. If you did you would realise that people who do try it on soon get found out and dont get much help afterwards, but in the main most people are just friendly compers who do get stuck on the odd puzzle and just like ringing a friend or relation ( or is that cheating as well) or waiting for the library to open ( or is that not allowed either ) they post an odd question on the site. MOST people on this site have appeared to me to be friendly and helpful but if you do not like this ii am certain you can find some where else to go.
P.S. I have also had some succes with comps including a brand new car and I have no fears about helping others. What you put into life you normally get out.
