If you look at fauvist painters you will find one with a four letter surname who seems to fit the description given. I can't find this picture but there is one which keeps coming up on Google which is quite similar.

Sorry kettledrum but the question is who painted a particular picture and I don't know any way to put up pictures on the answerbank.
Thanks wisemother I fancied him also but as you say can't find the actual picture.
