H Two O more clues please

Please!!!! don't give me the answers but I am struggling and would appreciate any further clues for:

36, Keeping an eye on the horse maybe? 8
44, Capital's allure we hear 3,4,2,6
74, Is that father we hear? 3,5,2,4
79, Let down, betray 4,4,3,5

Failing that can anybody tell me what the clue 'hear' means at the end of a question, I've figured out most of the anagram clues like damage, and dodgy but don't know what to do with hear.

36 not sure I have this right but a word relating to eye with an anagram of another word
cant help with clues for others - I have answers but am rubbish at clues

Hear usually means a homophone. In other words, the clue leads to an answer that will sound like the correct solution when spoken out loud.

The only problem with that is that people pronounce the same word in different ways in different parts of the country.

Thanks for this Smouse and gen2, I now have 36, and I guess I know 44 as well although I don't understand it so will keep thinking on that and 74 & 79
