I need reassurance on my answers for last few clues;

Q53 Is a Yorker the name given to the delivery that is bowled long and pitches directly at the feet of the batsman?

Q56 I'm in the middle of this quiz's compiler, could be a cryptic clue to identify which metal that expands upon solidification and was used along with lead and tin to make type metal. The quiz compiler is Antony Licquorish. I'm pretty certain the answer if Bismuth, but why?

Q77 Was Led Zepplin IV the first album to have no track listing on the sleeve?

Thanks for any help

No. 53. I understand that the term 'yorker' is correct. I have put that, I think I found it on google somehow.

Thank you fpcat. Have you finished the quiz?
Hello AllyLally,
Unfortunately not, about 2/3rds through it. I haven't got the others you asked about. I am enjoying this one, delving into my old reference books.
Regards Furrypusscat.
No 56 I have antimony for that one allylally
The compilers name is antony with im in the middle
Have you got no.88.?would be very grateful for an answer Have googled extensively to no avail
Only just got this so not got that far yet
Can you just tell me what you have for 37
I have spent ages trying to debate whether it is Lincolns Inn or if that is a deliberate trap and it is Grays Inn
Hello Smouse,
I've just come off google trying to establish the 'inns' one. Still no further forward now. I've looked up both those, I'm sure its one of those two.
Good luck, Furrypusscat.

Thank you all very much - I'm fairly new to Answerbank and I'm just amazed at the generousity of spirit!

rbind - Antimony ... of course! Thank you. The only one I have left now is 88. I'm thinking it must be Francis Bacon, but I can't find the quote to confirm. His paintings are all distorted and he was by all accounts a pretty waspish character. I'm going to keep on looking

smouse - I'm certain it's Gray's Inn - it has gardens designed by Bacon and a Griffin on it's coat of arms

furrypusscat - good luck with the rest of the quiz! It's the first one I've tried and, like you, I'm really enjoying getting the old reference books out, and I'm nearly finished
AllyLally,
I'm pretty knew to this page myself - came across it by accident a few weeks ago. Through it I've sent for loads of quizzes which I wouldn't normally have come across and I would only have been doing local ones so as well as enjoying the comradeship, I, like everyone else is supporting the charities. Can confirm (hopefully) that it is Gray's Inn - been looking through husbands tour guides, knew I married him for something!!!
Good luck, Furrypusscat.
Thanks both of you and glad you found the site
I had Grays Inn but then hit the Lincoln lincoln and more lincoln bunch and got confused - maybe that was the trick
I'm a tyke (from yorkshire), born in the days when the Yorkshire cricket team were all real live Yorkshiremen and we practised "yorkers" in our street cricket games.

Definitely, I'd say for no. 53.
