I don't really like to criticise Kate as Lord knows I couldn't get close to compiling a crosswod but....
29d which must be a double sharp cannot lower the pitch of a note by two semi-tones. Only a double flat can do that and the double sharp raises it by two semi-tones.
The musical clues are the only ones I can consider myself an authority on. I don't have a very "general" knowledge.
