22d One extreme of Murdoch press's filthy disease ('e's replacing Sun) (6) ?e???s I just can't see what the clue is about -does it want a filthy disease? What is the part in brackets about? I'm afraid I never seem to be able to solve clues like these. Thanks

I think the answer is HERPES - though it's a bit obscure.

As follows. One extreme of Murdoch is the 'h'. PRESS 'filthy' I.e an anagram but one of the s's (for sun) is replaced by an 'e'. Result Herpes
