Yes, another one who hasn't quite grasped what a quiz is about. Let me explain. You're supposed to work out the answer, KEEP IT TO YOURSELF, then enter the quiz. Publishing it on this site is advertising it to everyone who does the quiz so rendering the whole thing pointless.
If you keep posting them 5 at a time you should have it finished before the deadline.

This is a question site. If you don't want to help then don't. But don't make people feel bad for asking.

My first question was greeted by smouse and spotty dog telling me I couldn't ask!!!

I asked a question and smouse pulled me up on it. Perhaps he/she need not have done that?

Whatever you think, to ME it looked like he/she was trying to control this site and only have the questions he/she approved on it.

I don't think that is the case now and I'm trying to resolve it with them.

I trust you are from "the other site" which is a huge wind up right now and NOT helping the issue at all.

Nilesquimby I am another person who agrees with Smouse. I was waiting for a new quiz to arrive last week when I saw people asking for answers to it. To make matters worse the closing date was end of October!!!!! OK in the last week or so when you've tried every way to work out a clue but what is the point of asking for answers so soon? I personally get enjoyment from answering questions myself, and searching on the internet, reference books and the library for answers. Is there any satisfaction in someone else giving you their answers? I also think you should be sure of your facts before you write things on AB,and why do we have to have such a nasty atmosphere as this is supposed to be a friendly site.

I enjoy browsing AB and sometimes helping out, but I often wonder why questions are asked when it would be just as easy to google. Am I in a minority?

Nilesqumby can you just explain to me why you want early answers from other people and why you don't want to do the quizzes yourself? What pleasure can you get from using other peoples answers? Surely the whole point of attempting a quiz is to see if you can work out the answers YOURSELF. Perhaps I'm not helping because what I'm saying touches a nerve. I have been using this site for a while and I do ask for help occasionally but only as I stated. I also like to answer questions if I can but usually someone has beaten me to it,although I did help 2 people last night.

Niles after sitting and reading my last 2 answers I know I am getting myself in a state about this. As you say it is an answer site without rules so no matter what I think everyone is entitled to do what they want. I hate falling out with people and I know this subject is my pet hate so I apologise if I have been rude and I do realize its up to individuals what they choose to do.Good luck in the quiz.
