This is a first for me! Have finished on my own, though I suspect this is the easiest one for ages. I have two queries about how the cryptic parts of the solutions are reasoned, so if anyone could oblige?
queries:
Where does the Y come from in EYEDROP? I can account for all other letters - does this mean "unknown"
PIONEERED - ? is this PIONEER + ED?
thank you

Hi Physics Girl - well done. It's a real thrill, isn't it?
I have had a lot of other things to do, so didn't start until this morning and haven't finished yet, but now have most of the answers. Haven't tried to fit them in yet, though. Will try that tonight. Thanks for asking about 'pioneered'. I had it and had some idea of the cryptic parts, but not all. Thanks, Ulysses for the explanation.
