What is the shape of a polka mark? I have spent the past 2 hours scouring all my books, and tried numerous google sites with no success. Please can anyone help? Thank you.

It's a simple eye that only detects light...a caterpillar has one. Another meaning is a crown worn by a Byzantine Emperor, but as they died out years ago, it might be too obscure a definiton for this quiz.

I had found eye that only detects light does not focus images, caterpillers and butterflies have them. it seemed a very long answer, thanks will try and cut it down thanks again cheersT

That's another very obscure definition though...coming I think from the Italian meaning. I think I'm going to stick with the old eye!!!!
What a kerfuffle....and I thought this quiz was so much easier than the last one, particularly with the artist quote. I certainly didn't think of Augustus John!!!

Just a thought teddybears, have you ever had a go at the impquizzes? I find them really enjoyable to do. They're very straight forward, no trick questions, no obscure questions, just pure general knowledge. The search for answers keeps me going too.

That should get you there. It's a local Lincolnshire quiz, but the questions cover all sorts of questions. The one I'm doing at the moment is 'School Time', and the one after is 'All Things Bright & Beautiful.' The quizzes can be downloaded, and I just send my �1 off with my answer sheet..
I've got a little electronic dictionary encyclopedia gadget . When I typed in Stemma it came up with your family tree idea, so I'm going with that after all, as that was the first definition given for stemma.

I don't know that quiz. What sort of a quiz is it? Is it a general knowledge one? Where can I get it? Do you think it might be beter if we corresponded by email?

the spinney nuring home 5 sections most have 10 questions, qoutes,places,entertainment etc has to be in bt end sept. do you think you would have time. I dont know have to go about sending to some one on this site. cheers T
