Independent Statues

The Independent has been running a statue spotting comp all week. From today you can see them all at www.independent.co.uk/statues
I'd appreciate any ideas about nos. 6 or 23. Think I've got the others though it's difficult to be sure from google/flickr. If anyone can walk around Trafalgar/Parliament/Grosvenor Squares at lunch time, maybe with some binocs, it might be a lot easier. They may not be in London but the majority of the others have been.

16 is Oscar Wilde. It's a weird coffin like memorial. 17 is Henry Irving. I had wondered about Abraham Lincoln for 6 because the trees look a bit like those in Parliament Sq (just like trees I suppose). I also had Lord Derby and George IV as possible but I can't find a photo with a good image of Lord Derby's hair and the others don't look right.

Thanks. I can see from the Liverpool statue photos that it's him, but I can't find a good close up of the Parliament Square statue, which from the trees and the colour I'm assuming is the right one. Frustrating cos I thought I'd found one the other day, before it was published. No idea about 6. I'll probably just have to guess, cos I can't think of anywhere else to look and I can't get down to London this weekend.

I'm not doing very well at all. I can't even find out No.1 and yes I'm having trouble with N0.6.
