Can anyone explain why Northern Ireland has been included in this competition when Britain consists of only England, Scotland and Wales?

Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland
England Scotland and Wales are known as
the BRITISH ISLES ??? or am I wrong and
does it REALLY matter.
I take it you are referring to the ITV series. You are dead right , the correct term should be Great Britain and Northern Ireland...it is another example of the media 'dumbing down' in eveything they do .

Actually, Britain is just England and Wales. If you include Scotland it is Great Britain.
are you sure about that Munden?
It seems like a minefield of who's who!!!!

United Kingdom and Great Britain??? A difference most of us don't know!

Anyhow, I'm English, part of the UK and GB.............wish someone would explain the difference!!!!

People in Northern Ireland are British citizens as well so should be treated with the same respect, that is why the location was included in the program, it also shows that Northern Ireland is not the bad place it is supposed to be.
NI is a truely beautiful place! Do it's citizens consider themselves part of GB?

I always thought it was part of GB.
