There are a lot of anagrams so you you need a good anagram solver .
Here is one

and this one is very useful using the reverse dictionary

Bradfords and a good crossword compendium should help too.
I am sooo loathe to give the actual answers as the AB quiz police come down like a ton of bricks and then it just causes ill feeling .I will willingly give anyone a clue with this but they just make you feel uncomfortable all the time if you do help anyone .
I don't wish to appear mean and unhelpful but they get on my wick and I am likely to lose my rag if they keep on !

Shaney, I completely understand what you mean. I always find these Rainbow quizzes very cryptic and difficult but I do enjoy working on them. I have got 64 but am still strugglin gwith 15, so far have 4 anagrams for this word and am getting there. With the word shiling in the clue, to me, it should have bob somewhere in the answer.

julesy The Chambers dictionary that is on-line is only the Chambers 21st Century Dictionary - a cut-down version of the genuine Chambers Dictionary. If you use the chambers 'Word Wzards (here: http://www.chambersharrap.co.uk/chambers/wordg ames/word_wizards/wwizards.py/main ) the anagram solver and the crossword sover come up with answers that are in the main Chambers dictionary, but wich do not come up with a definition when you choose 'Dictionary'
Thought as much ..
Do you have built in radar scanners figi ?
We used to have a dog called Radar ..he could hone in on a Bonio at a hundred yards and that's just what you are like ..a dog with a bone !
Perhaps some people are not aware of the anagram solvers etc . and which are the best ones to use ..
I would not wish to be on your wavelength for all the tea in China.

julesy You are just confirming what I said.
If you put 'earned' into the anagram finder, one of the suggestions is 'deaner'. If you put this into the dictionary, it says the nearest match is 'deanery' because the on-line version of the dictionary is called the '21st century dictionary' and that is a cut-down version of the full 'Chambers Dictionary' that you can buy in the shops. Look it up in the paper version for a definitive definition.
