MM Links October [Week 3]

Good morning to you, my loyal subjects. This is King Grenmus the Great, here for my third week, to tease you yet again on the general subject of "Sports", although my preamble may not deal specifically with the sport at all, there may be a clue or two within it!
This week I've been trying to catch up on programmes I recorded over the last few weeks. Although it was rather long I enjoyed the Channel 4 programme 'The Great Wall Of China'. The explanation of how, and why, it was built using archaeological evidence was most interesting. Amazing to think it is just made of soil. Another good programme I recorded was 'The Mersey Sound' with Roger McGough and Brian Patten. Roger is one of my favourite poets, his poems are always on the button - does anyone remember his 'Brown Paper Carrier Bag'?
I'm really into Heroes. I record each episode, watch it, then set my PC to record it from the Sky+ box as I watch it yet again!! I'm fascinated at the way Kring can carry the story along, twisting this way and that between the Heroes. There is so much going on that it is sometimes difficult to keep track of the storylines.
Oh, BTW, next week crofter will post my links as we will be staying in Chester for a couple of nights, but more of that in next week's missive.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.As for the everyday running of MM, I have followed MM convention on word length. Each of my chosen link words contains at least four letters and at most eight letters. Stray outside this range and you will be wasting one of your attempts!
Each link word may go in front of, or behind, my chosen word! The competition will officially close on Sunday Evening at 7.00pm, when crofter will declare my selected words and then apply the same rules for awarding points that have been applied during all MM Link Games in the past.
My first set of four chosen words for linking should appear below at 9.00am - on the dot!
