I wonder, did you get you "A" levels from asking someone else? Maybe looking over their shoulder? I doubt it, I know I didn't.
It's a quiz, and even if it IS for charity, it should be our own work. Otherwise, where is the pride? Who want's to be drawn out of a hat? Can we not accept that someone may have done this for themselves and therfore is more deserving of the win. However small. I have more pride than to kid myself that asking for answers on here means winning fair and square.

Jammydodgem, for heaven's sake, it's a game, it's meant to be fun. Does it really matter who wins the paltry sum of money on offer? That seems a pretty mean-spirited attitude to me. What does it matter if people ask questions on AB, or, unbeknown to you, ask their family and friends for help? You would never know if they did that, would you? I like to do the quiz alone too - but I understand that we don't all think the same - and we all enjoy doing it in our own way. Why not live and let live.
I'd gladly "live and let live" (and I HAVE asked family and friends for answers) if this VERY challenging quiz had not been undermined by EVERY question being asked and answered on here. Go ahead and do a search. Over half were asked by one individual alone. If that doesn't make you wary of helping then what will?
Do you think all answers should be given out with the quiz so we can all have a chance?

Wow, naomi, you're back with a vengeance, aren't you?
You're right, of course. What always puzzles me, though, is what satisfaction people can get from seeing themselves in the 100 list when they've got 5 answers (say) from strangers on AB.
And if they win the 50 prize (which I earnestly agree is not the objective at all) would they give it back to the charity?
Not moralising. Just curious.

Jammydodgem, I really don't care who wins - or who cheats. I just enjoy the personal challenge.
Chakka, I agree absolutely - for me there would be no satisfaction in seeing my name amongst the 100 percenters if it wasn't all my own work - and I would hope that those who do seek help, from any source, would give the money to the charity. Tell me you will, people!!

Many people have stated that they are not 'happy' with 'stale bread' and also not 'happy' with many of the other possible answers touted in previous discussion ...
Others (possibly with a better answer, or better understanding of cryptics) stay silent and just 'watch' these' 'high octame' threads, although they may have a better answer / explanation ...... but, tend to 'shy away' from answering as they do not wish to become embroiled in aggro .....
