Hello.
i am really pretty good at sudokos. i can do all the 'hard' ones, whatever the publication.
but i can never do the really hard ones ie 'fiendish' in the telegraph.
've read the carol vorderman book, and the rough guide book and udnerstand all their methods, but I still get stuck.
eg. in one fiendish sudoko from the telegraph, i am left with a couple of colums with twins and triplets in.
And one row with the following numbers:
box 1: 2, 4, 7
box 2: 1, 2, 7, 8
box 3: 4, 8
box 4: 1, 2, 3, 9
box 5: 2, 3
box 6: 2, 3, 7, 9
box 7: 3, 7, 9
the other two boxes are filled in.
I think there's one method which I am missing which willhelp me crack it.
is there a sudoko expert out there who knows what i am talking about and canhelp me?
cheers

Try the site www.scanraid.co.uk/sudoku.htm You fill in the original given numbers and you can watch it solve the puzzle step by step giving explanations. i often use it when I can't see the obvious next step.
