25a. "Worthless setter's endlessly in trouble"......I'm sure the answer is "trivial" and derived from either tr(iv)ial or tri(vi)al, but I haven't grasped the cryptic bit !!! Help please.

I think the iv is short for I've i.e. belonging to the setter

Setter sometimes refers to him/her self as I or ME
